Here is PART 1 of the Better Blog Tips section for WORDPRESS
1. Choose a theme that is easy to navigate!
Make sure the post categories and the pages are easy to find.

Titan – simple yet effective
Arras – this one has LOTS of features (intermediate bloggers only)
DaBlog Screen - fun colors, japanime style
DynaBlue – nice colors and layout
2. “Boxes” are all the rage. If you can find a theme that utilizes them, make the switch! It will make your blog look current and fresh.
If you want to avoid changing themes: use blockquotes instead!
IN WORDPRESS: See that little quotation icon in your post area near the bold button? Highlight yout text and press it. It will style that text into a box.
3. USE WIDGETS!! If you have an old theme that does not support widgets, get a new theme. You can easily change all the sidebar content in WordPress.
4. Use photos as much as possible. Just like the old newspaper vs. magazine thing, people much prefer looking at photos.
5. Make sure you are linking to important or exciting posts from your sidebar or new posts. If you have a popular post, link to it somewhere within your blog to get better search engine results!
